(1) On 15th May 2004 the FIFA Executive
Committee selected South Africa to host
the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. South Africa
with 14 votes were declared as winners
after the first round of voting. Morocco
received 10 votes, and Egypt did not tally
any.

(2) During its final deliberations, the
Executive Committee came to the
conclusion that it could no longer
consider Libya's bid as it did not meet all
the stipulations laid down in the official
List of Requirements.

Libya was asked and agreed to withdraw from
the vote to decide the 2010 World Cup host
nation after refusing to allow Israel to
play there in the event of it winning the
right to organise the tournament.

(3) On 8th May 2004 Tunisia has
withdrawn its bid for the 2010 World Cup
after its plan to co-host with Libya was
rejected.
